Pippu Town
This town is known for its strawberries in summer and ski resorts in winter.
It is a rural town with abundant nature surrounded by the Daisetsuzan mountains.
Known as the town of strawberries and skiing, Pippu offers pick-your-own strawberries in early summer and skiing in winter. This agricultural town is the original producer of Hokkaido’s brand-name rice, “Yumepirika.”
With two national routes and an expressway, Pippu is an important part of the broad transportation network. It offers a stunning view of the Daisetsuzan mountains with rich nature and rural residential areas sprawling out from below them.
JR Pippu Station, once famous for being featured on a TV commercial, has now been renovated. Pippu Shrine is known as a lucky spot for marriages.
