JA Taisetsu Rice Field Art is a summer‑only land art project that creates images and lettering by planting different varieties of rice in carefully planned patterns. As the rice grows, the color contrasts sharpen, and at peak season the fields reveal dynamic artworks that stretch across the entire paddy. Because the design changes each year, visitors can expect something new on every visit. A viewing platform provides an unobstructed panorama of the work and is ideal for photography.

Organized as part of local agricultural promotion and food‑education initiatives, the event sometimes includes activities during the rice‑harvest season. Nearby farm stands and local markets sell seasonal produce and processed goods, so you can sample the “blessings of Kamikawa” while enjoying the rice‑paddy art.
