JR Asahikawa Station
JR Asahikawa Station serves as the transportation hub for the northern Hokkaido region, providing
smooth access to major destinations such as Sapporo, Kitami, and Abashiri, the tourist destinations of Biei and Furano,
and the northernmost point of Wakkanai, via JR or highway buses.
The bus touch in front of Asahikawa Station is a transportation node in the northern Hokkaido area, and
many route buses arrive and depart from major tourist destinations such as Asahiyama Zoo (about 40 minutes by bus from platform 6) and Asahikawa Airport (about 35 minutes by bus from platform 9).
It is also important to use the JR Furano Line to Biei and Furano,
and the route bus to Shirokane Onsen via Biei (stop 9).
In addition, intercity express buses connect Sapporo (platform 7), Kushiro, Kitami, and other remote areas.
