Asahikawa International Country Club

Situated in the rolling hills of Aibetsu Town, midway along National Route 39 between Asahikawa and Sounkyo, lies the Asahikawa International Country Club (Shunshinai Course). The course boasts a breathtaking location, commanding distant views of the majestic Daisetsuzan mountain range—the "roof of Hokkaido"—while overlooking the pristine waters of the Ishikari River below.

Masterfully designed by Kokichi Yasuda, the course features the expansive fairways characteristic of Hokkaido. The holes are beautifully separated by natural trees, creating a perfect harmony of spaciousness and the thrilling challenge of a woodland layout. While the course may appear forgiving at first glance, achieving a good score requires precise ball placement, careful reading of the lies, and strategic navigation of the heavily undulated greens.

The entire Mt. Hourai area surrounding the course is designated as a wildlife sanctuary, offering golfers the unique privilege of playing in untouched natural beauty across all four seasons. With excellent access from the Asahikawa area, players can enjoy a highly comfortable round with riding golf carts.
