Opened in September 1992 under the supervision of professional Hajime Meshiai, Asahikawa Memorial Country Club features a hilly layout that takes full advantage of the natural undulations. The 18‑hole course measures 6,711 yards and uses a single bent‑grass green. Reading the lines and judging distances are key to scoring, so the course offers satisfying challenges for everyone from improving beginners to advanced players.

Each hole is set within a vast forested area, so you can enjoy a tranquil round surrounded by seasonal woodland scenery.

One of the highlights is the downhill Par‑5 12th, popular with long hitters. A powerful, well‑placed tee shot toward the center can put a two‑on within reach for long hitters. From the second shot onward, precise play aimed at the center of the green is the quickest route to a good score. The tension‑filled Par‑3 8th requires a carry over water and is ideal for a nearest‑to‑the‑pin challenge; avoid the left‑rear out‑of‑bounds, favour a slightly left‑of‑centre target line, and choose a club that matches your distance.
