Located in a charming, renovated home from the early Taisho era, this hidden gem offers multi-course meals featuring handcrafted tofu made with local Takasu soybeans and natural nigari (bittern).

Set on a hill slightly outside central Takasu, the building’s nostalgic exterior makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. Densyokan, a restaurant specializing in handcrafted tofu, is housed in a relocated and restored early 20th-century home, praised for its soothing, traditional Japanese atmosphere.

The restaurant's pride is its freshly made tofu. Crafted using locally grown "Osodefuri" soybeans alongside natural nigari, the tofu boasts a rich, natural sweetness and aroma that reviewers rave about as unforgettable.

The standout recommendation is the Tofu Kaiseki Course, which lets you savor their signature tofu to the fullest. Alongside classic dishes like yudofu (tofu in hot broth), dengaku (miso-glazed tofu), and agedashi (lightly fried tofu), the meal includes seasonal sashimi and creative original specialties.
