Founded in Meiji 10, a long-established sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture relocated to Higashikawa Town's first sake brewery in Hokkaido's leading rice producing area
Sanzakura Sake Brewery, which has a history of 143 years in Gifu, moved to Higashikawa Town, Hokkaido in 2020, taking a new step as a rare public and private sake brewery in Japan.
The deciding factor was the pure natural underground water of Daisetsuzan Mountain, which supports the lives of the townspeople, and the sake rice produced in Higashikawa Town. Under this blessed environment, Sansenzakura Japan sake has a taste that combines a soft mouthfeel that is “as clear as water” and a light and crisp aftertaste.
While inheriting history and technology, please feel the sake brewing site that expresses the terroir of Higashikawa Town up close.
