Higashikawa Bunka Gallery (Higashikawa Town Culture Gallery)
An arts hub from the Town of Photography.
The Higashikawa Town Cultural Gallery plays a central role in Higashikawa’s cultural outreach since the town declared itself the “Town of Photography” in 1985. By collecting and exhibiting outstanding works from Japan and abroad—not only photographs but also sculpture, painting and literary arts—the gallery has become an active hub for cultural exchange.
Throughout the year the gallery presents a diverse programme of special exhibitions, including shows of prizewinning artists from the Higashikawa Photography Awards, and it also actively accepts submissions from the public. As such, it is widely used as a venue for local creators to present their work.
Please enjoy a quiet, calm space and the opportunity to encounter beautiful works.
