Shinei-no-Oka Observation Park
Stunning sunsets and sweeping views of endless rolling hills and the Daisetsuzan mountains
This hilltop park offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Biei hills. The sunset views from here are breathtakingly beautiful, making it a popular photo spot. Located almost halfway along the "Panorama Road" that runs from JR Biei Station to JR Bibaushi Station, it is an ideal place to stop by while touring the hills on foot or by rental bicycle. The park is well-equipped with restrooms, rest areas, and a parking lot. (Closed during the snowy winter season) As it can get quite crowded during the tourist season, visiting early in the morning is recommended.
