“Arashiyama of the North” allows you to experience the various arts of unique artists. It is an art village where many kilns gather at the foot of Arashiyama, which is blessed with nature, and artists create their own works. Each kiln has a gallery attached to it, and various works such as small items such as coffee cups and hot water bowls, as well as platters and pots, are exhibited and sold. In addition to ceramics, there are many other galleries and cafes for glass crafts, dyeing, tea ceremonies, and woodworking crafts. Some galleries also offer hands-on classes, so you can easily enjoy the workshop experience.
