Heihe-dori Shopping Park

Heiwa-dori Shopping Park is a street lined with beautiful street trees that stretches straight north from Asahikawa Station. It is the first pedestrian street in Japan, and the streets are lined with large shopping stores, specialty stores popular with young people, and restaurants. There are also benches along the street, making it ideal for a break while enjoying shopping. Fountains installed here and there, bronze sculptures such as Tadayoshi Sato’s “Young Woman” are pleasing to the eyes of visitors.
