Asahikawa Golf Club
A forest course full of history and strategy. Easily accessible from the city
Asahikawa Golf Club is a long‑established course founded in 1956 and opened in 1957. Set among woodlands with gentle undulations, the 18‑hole course plays 6,016 yards from the back tees and 5,723 yards from the regular tees, with a tough par‑70 setup that rewards accurate tee shots and smart course management.
Developed under the supervision of Ryugasaki Country Club and guided by head professional Eizo Igawa, the club nurtures a strong golfing culture. The tree‑lined layout demands careful wind reading and precise shot placement, offering strategic enjoyment for beginners through advanced players.
Each hole changes character with the seasons — cool and leafy in summer, and spectacularly colored in autumn. Riding carts make for comfortable rounds, and practice facilities and an on‑site clubhouse restaurant add convenience, making the club suitable for competitions or a quick after‑work round.
