Sounkyo / Daisetsuzan Photography Museum
The four seasons of Daisetsuzan captured by a photographer! A place to meet a moving piece
The exhibition focuses on the works of mountain photographer Takaetsu Ichii, who continued to photograph the nature of Daisetsuzan Mountain. Photos that capture the appearance of majestic mountains and pretty alpine plants are lined up. You can feel the expression of the mountains in each of the four seasons up close, and rediscover the greatness and delicate beauty of nature. There are actually about 200 photographs on display, mainly large-scale works with a width of 1.5 meters or more. The powerful mountain photos with a large 4×5-inch camera convey the charm of the four seasons of Daisetsuzan and fascinate viewers. It is also recommended to visit when the ropeway is suspended.
