Chinese tea and porridge Okuizumi

The restaurant, which was popular in Maruyama, Sapporo, fell in love with the delicious water and ingredients of Higashikawa and moved to this area in 2020.

The interior of the restaurant is a warm space with a wood stove, and from the large windows, you can see the rich countryside of Higashikawa and the mountains with heavy snow in the distance.

The signature menu here is “porridge”. The porridge, which is slowly cooked using delicious rice “Oborozuki” from Higashikawa Town and natural water from the Daisetsuzan region, has a reputation for its simple yet very deep flavor, with the sweetness of the rice prominent.

While enjoying the change in taste with the sasai, pitan, and fermented bean curd that come with the set, it is also recommended to taste dim sum such as handmade “water dumplings” and “pork buns”.

And another protagonist is “Chinese tea”, which the owner, Fujiko Okuizumi, is so particular that she named her maiden name in the name of the store.

The tea, which is carefully brewed from dozens of types to suit your taste and mood, is said to have an exceptional aroma and taste.

It is open early in the morning, and many fans call it “the most delicious breakfast in Japan.”
