Founded in Showa 44 by the first generation, Masao Inoue. It is a famous restaurant that has established the tradition of Asahikawa ramen "W Soup" and has made its name known both domestically and internationally. Its taste is highly praised, and it has a track record of winning Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Hokkaido edition. The essence of Umekoken lies in its original style of combining an animal-based soup based on pork bones and chicken bones, and a seafood-based soup carefully made from dried sardines and kelp in a bowl. This creates a complex and deep taste that harmonizes the powerful richness of animal and the delicate flavors of seafood without erasing each other's goodness. Pairing this finished soup with custom-made medium-thin curly noodles. Not only does the soup intertwine well, but the wheat flavor is also strong. And what makes a dominant presence in the bowl is the char siu stewed with extra-thick sinachiku (menma) and a secret sauce. In particular, the shinachiku (menma) attracts many fans due to its size and chewy texture.
